A pilgrimage was held in Ormoc City, Leyte on October 19-21, 2019. The team was headed by Rev. Fr. Pacifico Nohara, Jr., OSA and Rev. Fr. Aladdin Luzon, OSA of the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu.
The team visited the Indiana Aerodrome Airport and St. Therese of Lisieux Chapel both in Barangay Airport, Mother of the Redeemer Parish in Cogon, San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila Parish in Simangan and Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral.
The image of Santo Niño was welcomed by Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez and the owner of Indiana Aerospace University Dr. Jovenal B. Toring at the Indiana Aerodrome Airport. A mass and veneration to the miraculous image took place after the welcome ceremony.
The team was also warmly welcomed by the devotees, parishioners and the parish priest of the Mother of the Redeemer Parish with Sinulog dance and drum and bugle corps. There was also a fiesta mass celebration in honor of St. Therese of Lisieux in Barangay Airport on October 20. Devotees and parishioners venerated the image of Santo Niño and participated in the midnight vigils held in the places visited.
The pilgrimage was successfully implemented with the support of Archbishop Forrosuelo Du, DD of the Archdiocese of Palo.
