Deepening of faith to the Most Holy Child Jesus Christ continues as the Santo Niño at 500 pilgrimage team successfully conducted a pilgrimage in Sorsogon on October 15-22, 2019.
Led by Rev. Fr. Wilboy Bracamonte, OSA and Rev. Fr. Aladdin Luzon, OSA, the team was able to visit some parishes in Sorsogon namely Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Sorsogon City, Our Lady of the Pillar Parish in Pilar, St. Anthony of Padua Parish and St. Augustine Parish both in Gubat, St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Irosin, Gibalon Shrine in Magallanes and Immaculate Conception Parish in Bulan.
The week-long pilgrim visit started with a welcome mass at the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral followed by veneration to the image of Santo Niño and overnight vigil which were participated by the devotees, parishioners and church leaders.
A motorcade to Our Lady of Fatima Parish took place on October 14 then to Our Lady of Pillar Parish on October 15.
The devotees and parishioners in all parishes visited welcomed the team from Cebu through welcome ceremonies with Sinulog dance and drum and bugle corps. They also venerated the miraculous image and joined the midnight vigils honoring the Holy Child.
All activities went smoothly with the help of the volunteers and the support of the local ordinary Bishop Arturo Bastes, SVD, DD, SSL.
