Another pilgrimage of the image of Santo Niño was successfully held in Zamboanga del Sur on October 28 to November 1, 2019.
The team from Cebu was headed by Rev. Fr. Vincent O. Liwag, OSA. They visited parishes in Zamboanga del Sur namely St. Claire Monastery and Our Lady of Fatima Parish both in Josefina, San Vicente Ferrer Parish in Molave, Santo Niño Parish in Ramon Magsaysay, Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Labangan, San Isidro Labrador Parish in Dumalinao, San Isidro Labrador Parish in Dinas and Santo Niño Cathedral in Pagadian City.
The pilgrimage started with a convoy going St. Claire Monastery where the team carrying the image of the Holy Child were warmly welcomed by festival dancers and parishioners. Veneration to the image of Santo Niño was also done to honor His presence in the parishes. There were late-night vigils, catechisms, and welcome and send-off masses as highlights of the pilgrim visit.
It was a successful pilgrimage with the support of the local ordinary Most Rev. Emmanuel T. Cabajar, CSSR, DD.
